Summer is in full swing and as temperatures rise, you may find yourself turning to your grill instead of turning on your stove. I was recently talking to an Annapolis client and friend about their kitchen remodel that we just completed together. She went on and on about how beautiful it is and how we did a wonderful job. As much as I loved hearing all the compliments about its beauty, I wanted to know how it was functioning for her. When I asked her about the appliances (they chose the new GE Slate Appliances) her tone changed a bit and she sheepishly admitted that she hadn't used the stove yet, because they had been grilling so much. I was shocked! I understood the idea of not wanting to heat up the kitchen, but I saw that new stove as a new toy begging to be played with. Being an avid cook and maybe being a little jealous of a friend's new toy, I offered to come over and break in that stove for her.
